Frequently Asked Questions

Need Help? Here’s What People Usually Ask

Faster Growth: Liquid culture syringes have live mycelium that grows quickly. This means they can spread over the growing medium faster than spores, which need extra time to start growing after they germinate.

Higher Success Rate: With spores, there’s an inherent risk of contamination. Liquid cultures, if prepared and stored correctly, are generally cleaner and can be injected directly into the substrate without as much worry about introducing contaminants.

Predictability: Spore syringes contain a mix of genetic material that may vary in terms of growth speed, yield, and potency. Liquid cultures, however, are made from a specific, cloned strain, which allows for more consistent results in terms of mushroom size, shape, and other characteristics.

Ease of Use: Since liquid culture syringes already contain actively growing mycelium, they are generally easier to work with. You can inoculate a substrate with fewer syringes and see visible growth sooner than you would with spores.

All of our genetics are first developed by choosing high-quality specimens, then isolated into a monoculture on plates, and finally compared to other known varieties.
Yes, we offer replacements on our products if there is something wrong. It’s best to buy a plate with your order so you can test it yourself. Often times we like to send a plate of the culture to visually show the growth and cleanliness over the Liquid Culture.
Once you place your order, we will ship it the next Monday or Thursday using USPS. It usually takes a few days for your order to arrive after it’s shipped.
Our liquid culture contains zero Psilocybin, therefore is legal for the purposes of “Microscopy Research”. We cannot answer any questions regarding the growth of our microscopy cultures. We will cancel all orders from anyone who contacts us and mentions growth. Sorry, but we must comply with the laws.
